Construction Management: McCormick Railroad Park Expansion
Project Services Company was retained by the surety's consultant to expedite the completion of construction of a railroad museum and park project in Scottsdale, Arizona. The surety had taken over from the general contractor on a project that was seriously delayed. The work consisted of substituting for the general contractor and supervising and coordinating his subcontractors. Due to various factors, new subcontractors needed to be hired for some parts of the work and the original ones terminated.
In addition to liaison with the owner and his inspection team, the services included scheduling, cost control and site document control using proprietary software. These services only extended for the period when the legal arrangements provided for the payment of the subcontractors within a reasonable time period.
